Community-Led Education & Event Conversion Strategy

A digital community was created to support women entrepreneurs seeking practical guidance on marketing, branding, and business visibility. The group served as a space where members could learn foundational marketing principles, ask questions, and receive feedback within a supportive peer environment.

The community was designed not only as a learning hub, but also as a place where deeper education and collaboration opportunities could emerge through structured challenges and in-person retreats.

Project Overview

Many online communities struggle to move beyond passive consumption of content. The goal was to build a space where members actively participated, applied what they were learning, and developed meaningful relationships with other entrepreneurs.

The strategy needed to:

• encourage members to engage consistently
• provide educational value through marketing and branding guidance
• create momentum through structured participation
• build trust strong enough to support higher-level learning experiences

The Challenge

The community was built around accessible marketing education and collaborative learning.

Key initiatives included:

• sharing practical marketing tips and branding advice for women entrepreneurs
• facilitating discussions that allowed members to apply concepts to their businesses
• hosting structured 30-day marketing and branding challenges to encourage implementation
• fostering relationships among members through ongoing conversation and feedback

These challenges created a natural pathway for members to move from learning within the community to participating in deeper in-person experiences.

The Strategy

The Results

• Grew the community to 5,000 members within 30 days

• Sustained active engagement for over two years, with members regularly participating in discussions and collaborative learning

• Hosted multiple sold-out 30-day marketing and branding challenges, each with waiting lists

• Leveraged the community’s strong engagement metrics to secure a virtual event with bestselling storytelling author Kindra Hall. After reaching out to her team and presenting the group’s participation data, the community was invited to host a live Zoom event, which filled quickly and generated a waitlist.

• Converted community participation into two sold-out in-person retreats in Texas, where women entrepreneurs worked directly with community founders Holli Metz and Jacky Lamenzo on marketing strategy and brand development.

These results demonstrate how a community built around practical education and authentic conversation can evolve into a thriving ecosystem that supports both digital learning and real-world collaboration.
